Florida Republicans once again on the attack against young trans people

After the approval of the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ law, Florida Republicans are preparing for a new ban on young transitional people

Randy Fine – a Republican – announced on his social media profile that he intends to promote a law to make it illegal for parents and doctors to provide gender-affirming health care to trans children.

A bill that would make the provision of specialised care for trans minors – drugs and surgery – a “crime of child abuse”. An offence punishable by imprisonment and for doctors also the loss of their medical licence.

A deliberate and violent act that affects Florida’s LGBT+ community, in particular, the weakest group of minors.

An anti-LGBT+ drift that affects not only the State of Florida but the United States of America. The American Medical Association (AMA) has denounced the many attempts made by legislators to ban necessary care for young trans people in the USA.

The consequences – according to the AMA – of forgoing treatment would be devastating for the physical and mental health of trans youth.

According to a recent study published in the journal JAMA Opean Network, trans youth who received gender-neutral health care were less likely to have attempted suicide or suffered from depression in the year following treatment.

A degeneration due to the previous Trump administration.

The United States. A group of friends and an association that cultivates ethnic discrimination, racial superiority, and the fight against any diversity as essential pillars of its doctrine. These are the main elements of this multi-faceted novel, at times raw and hard, far from pity and useless turns of phrase, in which extreme fanaticism leads a father to desire the evil of his homosexual son, to the point of acting personally for the annihilation of this inclination. Yet “REDEMPTION DAYS” is not a novel that takes away space for hope, the same feeling that will take possession of the protagonist’s page after page, directing them to arrive very differently from the departure, a goal in which ideas change, the true virtues emerge, evil and perversions are finally removed, to achieve so, in different ways, their individual redemption.
