Changes in sight for LGBT+ policies by the Tories
In the end, the British Government has decided to shelve the LGBT+ policies – promoted by the previous Theresa May -led Government dated 2018 – and prepare a new, more efficient plan, according to the Government’s intentions.
According to the first rumours from the Tories, this new strategy should include health reforms for LGBT+ citizens but also sex work, homelessness and war veterans as reported by Mike Freer, Minister for Equality.

The new project will cover England and Wales and will be presented by the minister himself during the Tories’ global LGBT+ equality conference in April.
This is a necessary change of direction, in fact, a recent Cass Review interim report on gender-based care for young trans boys proved unhelpful and unsuccessful. But, it is not yet known whether new funding will be decided upon or whether it will fall within current spending levels.

Also, the associations are calling for a greater fight against HIV and AIDS with more control options and greater inclusion on sexuality – including LGBT+ – in UK schools.
