The film version of the most famous doll in the world continues to break many records, but not in some countries
The Live Action Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling continues its solitary run in conquering theaters around the world.
To date, the Barbie film in the United States of America is in 18th place in the ranking of the most viewed films while internationally in 25th place.

In Algeria (the film was released on July 19 and then withdrawn from theaters) it was removed from cinemas for “violation of morals“. According to the TSA news site: “Algeria has been embroiled in controversy over Barbie because of scenes aimed at an adult audience” with several allusions to homosexuality.

Kuwait has also decided to ban the screening of the film on the famous Mattel doll because it offends public speaking, as announced by the Chairman of the Committee for Film Censorship, Lafi Subaiei. A state body with the aim of “prohibiting everything that undermines common morals, public order and traditions, introducing foreign ideas into society” such as LGBTQIA rights.
Lebanon is no less. In fact, the Libyan Minister of Culture Mohammad Mortada has publicly accused the film Barbie of promoting homosexuality and would go against the importance of the traditional family. While in Qatar, it is not yet known if it will ever be shown in cinemas.
