Egalitarian marriage: 61.3 percent of Italians say they favor it

Eurispes’ 34th Italy report certifies that the majority of Italians are strongly in favor of recognizing egalitarian marriage

The Italian people want “A” while politics does “B.” This is what emerged from the latest Eurispes report that photographs a policy detached from reality and from its own citizens, particularly regarding certain civil rights, including euthanasia and egalitarian marriage.

Donald Trump makes his 2024 candidacy official: what future for LGBT+ citizens?

In fact, as reported by Il Manifesto and the Gay.it website, regarding egalitarian marriage 61.3 percent of respondents were in favor of recognition with an increase over 2019 of 10 percent, while for the legal protection of de facto couples (heterosexual and gay) the percentage in favor rises to 67.1 percent.

On the issue of children, 48.3% were in favor of the possibility of adoption by gay couples, a percentage that rises to 55.8% if we talk about singles.

However, when we get into the range of gestation for others — by the way banned in Italy –, the majority of respondents were against it (63.3%).

The report, also asked for opinions on two other quite thorny topics, especially after the rejection of the two referendums: euthanasia and the legalization of cannabis.

Cuba towards the recognition of egalitarian marriage

In favor of the right to euthanasia, 74.9% were in favor, while 52.3% were in favor of cannabis liberalization. And when asked about the legalization of prostitution? Only 49.1%.

A clear sign of the distance between politics, reality, and civil society.

The United States. A group of friends and an association that cultivates ethnic discrimination, racial superiority, and the fight against any diversity as essential pillars of its doctrine. These are the main elements of this multi-faceted novel, at times raw and hard, far from pity and useless turns of phrase, in which extreme fanaticism leads a father to desire the evil of his homosexual son, to the point of acting personally for the annihilation of this inclination. Yet “REDEMPTION DAYS” is not a novel that takes away space for hope, the same feeling that will take possession of the protagonist’s page after page, directing them to arrive very differently from the departure, a goal in which ideas change, the true virtues emerge, evil and perversions are finally removed, to achieve so, in different ways, their individual redemption.
